MS Trust champagne supper to launch My Supper for MS

Passers by could hardly believe their eyes when six MS Trust staff and supporters, dressed in evening wear, drank champagne and sat for a silver service supper in the centre of Letchworth Garden City to celebrate the launch of our new fundraising event, My Supper for MS.

The sparkling spread in Broadway Gardens was to publicise our My Supper for MS event and photographers from local newspapers The Comet and Hertfordshire on Sunday took some great pictures! The Priory in Hitchin (where we hold our residential training course for MS specialist nurses) and Plinston Hall, Letchworth kindly provided everything we needed for the spread.

"Choosing an unusual venue for your supper can be fun," said Chris Jones, the Trust's chief executive. "That's why we thought of the Broadway Gardens and fortunately North Hertfordshire District Council has been really helpful in allowing us to use them.

"Join in the fun in September and please arrange an event, however small, for us either on the launch night or during September for the My Supper for MS month. It doesn't need to be grand and involve a lot of work but it can certainly be fun.

"We provide an invaluable service for people with MS, their friends and families and for professionals working with them. We need every penny we can raise."p>
