Longstock Fun Ride

'Riders on their horses

More than 50 riders took part in the sponsored Horseback Fun Ride on Sunday in glorious sunshine, raising over £1,330 for the MS Trust.

Riders were given the option of taking various routes from 6 miles up to 13.5 miles, some incorporating jumps and a river crossing. The ride was organised by Sandy Burnfield (MS Trust Trustee) and Sarah Johns who will be taking part in our Icelandic Horse Trek in August.

One of the riders said, "I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped organise today's ride. My friend and I (and our horses) had a great day out. The ride was lovely - we did the 13.5 mile one - and the river crossing was a real highlight. I've been to many charity rides and this one ranks amongst the best. All the marshals were really friendly and helpful so thanks again and I'm glad you raised a lot of money for the MS Trust. I hope you will run it again next year!"

Sandy, Sarah and the MS Trust would like to thank all riders, helpers, marshals and everyone else who supported the fun ride. Will it be happening again? Watch this space ...
